Tuesday afternoon - Martedi Pomeriggio
You have arrived at the beautiful ancient villa where the soft air
caresses you with the scent of lavender and the lemon trees. Each view
might be a postcard. Welcome. For the next four nights, this is home.
Once you have settled in, come down stairs for a glass (or more) of
Chianti with your hosts and fellow guests. Relax. Viviana and Barbara
will be cooking for you tonight. They are eager to hear about your
journey and get to know you over a wonderful dinner.
Wednesday - Mercoledi
After a hearty country breakfast you are ready to start the day. The
morning will be spent with Viviana exploring a vineyard, tasting some
wines, and bringing the best back to enjoy over the next few days. At
the villa, Barbara has prepared an excellent lunch after which you might
relax around the pool, or take a stroll
to see the horses. Then it’s time to start having some fun in the
kitchen. Together with your hosts you will create the evening’s feast.
Thursday - Giovedi
Today it’s shopping in Florence. After breakfast, you will visit the
ancient food market of San Lorenzo, right in the heart of the city.
Viviana will be stocking up on provisions and explaining each selection
as she shops. There is even time for sightseeing together. Back home,
Barbara is busy preparing another midday feast. Afterward, you might
explore the idyllic grounds, have a swim, or just take in the
unforgettable views from the terrace. Perhaps you will even make the
short side trip to a nearby hill town or back to Florence. Late in the
afternoon, it’s back to the kitchen for another class. Tonight dinner
will be under the stars.
Friday - Venerdi
After breakfast, it’s off to a medieval hill town for some sightseeing
and shopping with Viviana. It’s not far to the imposing towers of San
Gimignano or to the ancient walls of Monteriggioni. Which will it be?
What a wonderful dilemma! Back at the villa. Barbara waits with another
heavenly meal. After a pleasant midday break, you continue your lessons
in Florentine cuisine. Tonight’s dinner will be the most special of all.
Saturday - Sabato
Breakfast and departure. (You are already making plans to return!)
