Washers and Dryers
A fair number of homes have e washing machines, you should find that symbol frequently. Dryers are rare and only present when noted with a washer/dryer symbol. All properties should have an iron and ironing board. Lavanderie, where your clothes can be washed, dried and folded are plentiful throughout Italy. American-style, coin-op laundromats are few and found mostly in larger cities.

Air Conditioning
Only properties with a symbol have it and sometimes only in certain rooms or parts of a home. Be sure to read the description carefully.

Window Screens
Likewise, Italians believe that screens impede the free flow of air. Only properties with a screen symbol have them, and often not in every room, so be sure to read the description.

Home Entertainment
Televisions are listed by a TV symbol. When referred to as being Satellite TV, you may be able to view English-language news broadcasts. VCRs in Europe employ a different technology and U.S. videotapes do not work. CD or cassette players are mentioned where available, and U.S. CDs and tapes are compatible.

Linens and Things
It's not necessary to bring any linens. All properties provide linens, pillows and blankets. A set of towels per person is also provided. Linens and towels are changed once a week unless noted. Beach towels are not provided.
