Romagnano, Verona

Shopping and dining: The small village of Romagnano, a mile away has one grocery shop. Grezzana, less than 10 minutes by car has supermarkets, a pizzeria, three trattorias, café bars, a post office, banks and a pharmacy.

Not to be missed: Villa Arvedi, an impressive villa with Italianate gardens, in Grezzana.

Golf: The Verona Golf Course near Sommacampagna is within a half hour drive.

Outdoor activities: In the immediate area you will find walking trails. A 20 minute drive north near Bosco Chiesanuova, there are mountains for hiking in summer and skiing in winter. Lake Garda and Gardaland, Italy's most famous amusement park open from March to the end of October in Peschiera are within a one hour drive.

Special Events: Vinitaly, an international known wine expo takes place in Verona during the first week of April. In July and August the arena of Verona hosts its world-renowned opera festival.

Open air market: On the third Saturday of every month there is an antiques, artisan and art market at Sagrato Basilica of S. Zeno in Verona.
