|Farmhouse - Gutted and professionally reconstructed with modern baths and a kitchen with commercial grade appliances. A centuries old, authentic stone structure featuring terracotta brick flooring, vaulted brick ceilings on the ground floor, thick beam ceilings on the first floor and a large open hearth fireplace in the living room. Thick stone walls help keep the villa cool in the summer months.
Furnished like a country home in a very comfortable, uncluttered style with a few well placed country antiques. The bedrooms have scenic views and are decorated in light colors making them bright and airy.
Interior Amenities: All windows are screened including most of the bathrooms. Five of the seven bedrooms are air conditioned. Two portable hairdryers are available.
Layout Notes: The property is made up of the main farmhouse and a separate cottage, 25 feet away. The cottage's bedroom faces shrubbery and does not have the expansive views of the other bedrooms. The tower bedroom enjoys wrap around views of the countryside. For outdoor dining, the furnished and gazebo covered patio is just outside the main entrance.
|The kitchen features commercial grade appliances including a stovetop with 6 burners, a large fridge and a dishwasher. The cottage with a stove top and fridge is equipped as a beverage kitchen.|
|Dinner or a barbecue night may be arranged, if requested at the time of booking to ensure availability of a cook for lunch or dinner, order this service at the time of booking. A minimum of six guests are needed to order this service which is paid on-site in Euro.|
|There are a few days each year when the estate fields are harvested, and workers come within 200 yards of the villa. Sunflowers are harvested in July or August, and the olives are collected in November.

|Walk 20 level yards from the parking to the entrance with one entry step and two steps between rooms. The most accessible bedrooms and bathrooms are on the ground floor of the farmhouse and the cottage with two entry steps. When rented at the price for 8 guests, all bedrooms and bathrooms are on the first floor and require 16 steps.|
|A portable cellular phone is available and upon arrival, is charged with 25 or 50 Euro. Guests pay for all calls made. The keyholder may assist with replenishing the usage card if necessary.|

Commercial appliances and the wood-fired barbecue make cooking for a large group a pleasure.

|Villa Spago is about 8 miles off of the SS3, a central roadway running north to south from Assisi to Spoleto. The easy approach to the villa is on a private road with 300 yards of flat gravel road.|

|Far reaching views over the countryside include looking beyond the surrounding olive groves, sunflower fields and a few neighboring farms to the distant hills of Mt. Subasio and the towns of Montefalco and Spello. The best views are enjoyed from the patio and the top floor bedrooms.|

|Shopping and Dining: Within 3 miles are the towns of Castel Ritaldi, Moriano and La Bruna with each having a restaurant. A number of dining options and a supermarket are in Montefalco within a 10 minute drive.
Not To Be Missed:
- Spoleto's historic center with a number of architectural gems and Roman sites such as an amphitheatre from 2 AD, the Ponte delle Torri (a Roman aqueduct) and adjoining one of the town's art galleries are the remains of Casa Romana. This Roman home with mosaic floors and frescoes is believed to have been the house of the mother of Emperor Vespasian.
Public Transportation: Spoleto's train station is a 25 minute drive with service into Rome's Termini station leaving about every two hours with the journey taking 1 hour and 45 minutes. The last train returns from Rome at 10 pm. To visit Florence by public transit, drive two hours to San Giovanni Valdarno with service leaving about every 30 minutes into Florence's Santa Maria Novella station with the ride taking 40 minutes. The last train returns from Florence at 10:30 pm.
Golf: In Ellera Umbra, "Circolo Golf Perugia", an 18 hole course is an hour away and is open year round. Closed on Mondays.
- In nearby Trevi, October is festival month: the 1st Sunday is the town's palio; the 3rd Sunday is a feast of Trevi's black celery and sausage and the 4th Sunday is a medieval food festival in the main square.
- In Foligno, the Giostra della Quintana is a knight jousting tournament with the 1st Challenge in June and the Counter Challenge taking place during the 2nd or 3rd week Sunday in September. The event includes food stalls and a parade of medieval costumes prior to the final joust.
- In Spoleto, the Festival of Two Worlds (Festival dei Due Mondi) is a two week event taking place from the end of June to the beginning of July with performers from all over the world in theatre, opera and dance.
- In Todi, the Italian Antique Exhibition takes place April 15 - May 1.
Market Days: Morning outdoor markets are held on Monday in Montefalco, on Tuesday in Perugia, on Wednesday in Spello and Spoleto, on Friday in Trevi and Spoleto and on Saturday in Assisi and Todi. An outdoor antique market comes to Spoleto every second Sunday of the month.
