Villa Zaballina

Return to villa
Barberino Val d'Elsa, Firenze

Historic Villa (circa 1100s) - This centuries old authentic structure is part of a large wine and olive oil producing estate with a reception office, winery and oil mill on the grounds. Furnished to retain its long and varied history, this period home features three foot thick stone walls, original terracotta floors, wood beamed ceilings and aging Liberty frescoes - it is ideal for those who want the experience of stepping back in time.

Interior Amenities: All bedrooms and the first floor living room have screened windows. Satellite television with news programmed in English language and Wi-Fi Internet access for those with a laptop are available. Due to the thickness of the stone walls, the Wi-Fi reception is limited to the billiard room.

Layout Notes: Guests enjoy three tiered levels of private outdoor space - the uppermost level just outside the villa has a dining table for 16 and trees providing shade; the middle level showcases flowers, fruit trees and two fountains; the lowest level is the pool area with yard space for children to play. The bedrooms vary in size and decor with the noble's bedroom being the largest.
