Interior Décor
Leopoldina style villa - A centuries old, authentic Tuscan structure featuring thick stone walls, the signature tower, an arched portico and thick beam ceilings. This style of villa lends itself to larger and open rooms. Many rooms in this period home are furnished with a medieval theme showcasing candelabra light fixtures, original portrait paintings, large open hearth fireplaces and antiques befitting that time. A Tuscan country motif is used in the bedrooms.

Interior Amenities: All six spacious bedrooms have their own en suite bathroom. Every bedroom has window screens, except the tower bedroom. All six double bedrooms are air conditioned with usage included in the price. A PC with WiMax Internet access is available. Each bathroom has a hairdryer.

Layout Notes: The kitchen leads outside to an enormous furnished terrace, allowing for convenient and pleasant al fresco dining. Like many authentic structures, the window sizes have not been altered. Smaller windows limit the amount of natural sunlight.

Kitchen
The kitchen is a large room with plenty of counter space, equipped with a stove top, oven, large American fridge and dishwasher. There is an open hearth fireplace with a grilling rack.

Meals
At the time of booking, guests may arrange for a classic Tuscan dinner or a wine dinner with a vintner walking guests through each course paired with a different wine. Advance notice is preferred for both options and these services are payable on-site in Euro.

Minuses
For adequate water pressure and temperature, the shower in the tower bathroom should be used when all others are not.

The caretaker's cottage is in view 40 yards away. Surrounded by vineyards, guests should expect farming and harvesting activity at various times during the year.

No Smoking
This property is strictly for non-smokers.

Parking
Parking is free at the property.

Steps & Stairs
Walk 10 yards on gravel and up three steps from the parking area to the entrance. The most accessible bedroom and bathroom require three steps. Guests of the tower bedroom must be agile due to the narrow and vertical spiral staircase without a handrail (see photo gallery).

Phone
A portable cellular phone is made available at check-in. The phone is typically charged with 25 or 50 Euro worth of calling time. Guests only pay for the usage consumed. If you require additional minutes, please ask your keyholder for assistance.

Pluses
Villa Falco Nero embodies the picture perfect Tuscan setting - This private villa lords over a vast wine producing estate with far reaching views of rolling hills and vineyards and offers guests an idyllic Chianti experience!

The estate produces Chianti Classico wines and treats Parker guests to a complimentary tasting and tour of the winery cellars. Purchases at the winery are discounted, forego sales tax and may be shipped abroad.

Six hours of daily cleaning service are included. All bedroom windows are screened with the exception of the tower bedroom. All bedrooms are air conditioned.

Pool
The private pool is open from the last weekend in May to the first Friday in October. Pool towels are provided.

Resident Staff
The caretaker who provides daily cleaning service lives 40 yards from the villa. The winery staff, located less than a mile away are available to provide assistance.

Road Condition
Driving in this area is on paved and curvy roads found throughout the Chianti countryside. The approach to the villa is on an easy 200 yard gravel driveway.

Screens
All bedroom windows are screened with the exception of the tower bedroom.

TV
Satellite Basic package - A limited number of channels with most of them being Italian. There are one or two news channels in the English language.

Views
Villa Falco Nero's exceptional vistas overlook endless miles of rolling Chianti hills covered in vineyards, olive groves and distant farmhouses. While the most dramatic views are seen from the terrace and portico, the panorama is visible from all rooms.

Washer/Dryer
This property is equipped with a washing machine and dryer. It is shared with the cleaner.
