No city in the world stirs the senses as intensely as Florence. Built on a smaller scale designed to uplift the human spirit rather than subdue it, Florence is a marvel meant to be enjoyed on foot. During the day, dazzling architecture and famous sights follow one after another in quick succession no matter which path is taken. At night, soft music ripples across star-lit piazzas teeming with gelato lovers savoring the sweetness of Florence.
At the very heart of this walker’s paradise are the immaculately maintained apartments of Torre Uffizi. From an ultra desirable location on a quiet narrow lane, both the Ponte Vecchio and the entrance to the Uffizi’s Gallery Museum are less than 100 yards away.
Within a five minute stroll is Caffè Rivoire facing Italy’s most romantic open space, Piazza della Signoria. Sit and succumb to their exquisite pastries or a sinfully rich hot chocolate while contemplating the amazing art that adorns this square. The piazza’s famous bell tower atop Palazzo Vecchio is within earshot of the apartments. The San Lorenzo market, the Duomo, the Pitti Palace and the city’s best shopping and dining are all within a 10 minute walking radius from home.
The units are located in a 5-story medieval tower that was completely gutted and redesigned for modern comfort and convenience. The property is manned by an English speaking staff, and an elevator connects each floor. Everything is in mint condition and of superior quality. In a city as old as Florence, it’s remarkable to find apartments of this caliber even down to the excellent water pressure, powerful air conditioning and bathrooms equipped with toiletries, terry cloth robes, heated towel racks and built-in hairdryers.
Utilities are all included in the price along with a mid week cleaning, a “thick & fluffy” towel change and a daily dose of free mineral water in your fridge. Extra cleanings, buffet breakfast in the lounge, two Wi-Fi access points as well as liquor and soft drinks stocked in your apartment are available at additional cost.
Titian, located on the third floor sleeps four and offers a lavishly large living and dining room with a high, wood paneled ceiling. This apartment can expand to sleep six when linked through one of its bedroom doors to a smaller adjacent unit for two. Views from the main room overlook neighboring Florentine rooftops, while the remaining windows open to a small inner quadrangle. The galley kitchen is modern and adequate for preparing light meals.
Titian offers a high level of quality and a lot of living space at the epicenter of Florence, the world’s most famous art capital. Easy to reach, the property is within a 10 minute cab ride from the Santa Maria Novella train station or a 20 minute walk. For anyone coming by car, valet garage parking is available.
A tax collected by the city of Florence is paid separately on the first ten nights of any stay. Children under age 10 are exempt.
