|An authentically restored 13th-century monastery with terracotta floors, thick beamed ceilings and smaller windows, especially in the bedrooms. Furnishings are simple, country pieces.
Interior Amenities: All windows have screens. The bathroom is equipped with a hairdryer and a heated towel rack that operates in conjunction with winter heating.
Layout Notes: The bedroom with a single bed, opened for a fee is very small and is best suited for a child. The double bedroom is an open room at the top of the stairway.

|Steps & Stairs|
|Walk 100 yards with slight inclines and down 19 scattered stone steps from the parking area to entrance. Two steps into the living/dining room with scattered steps on the ground floor and 10 steep steps that lead up to a landing where the queen bedroom is located. It is easier to maneuver these steps by backing down them when leaving the bedroom.|
|Incoming calls are routed through the reception office switchboard and are subject to office hours. Phone charges are based on the number of message units used and are paid on-site in Euro.|
| An enchanting setting - relax amidst vineyards, olive groves and meticulously landscaped grounds while experiencing life on a small family-run wine estate located off of Chianti's main wine route, the SS222. A complimentary sampling of the estate wines is offered.
The accommodating owners can arrange many services: morning cooking classes with a shopping trip, a Tuscan themed dinner one night per week and breakfast or lunch served on a panoramic patio.
|The shared salt water pool is open from the last weekend in May to the first Friday in October. Hours are from 9 am to 8 pm. Pool towels are provided.|
|Querceto in Chianti is located off of the SS222, an important wine road running through Chianti. Turning off of this curvy road, the property’s access road is a wooded half mile that is unpaved and bumpy yet level. Low clearance cars are not advised.|

|Shopping and Dining: The closest dining is less than 5 minutes by car in the tiny village of Lucarelli with 2 restaurants. Within a 10 minute drive is Castellina in Chianti with restaurants, cafes, pizzerie, a small yet varied selection of shops carrying products from local farms and artisans and a COOP supermarket, open on Saturday until 7:30 pm.
Public Transportation: Poggibonsi's train station, a 25 minute drive from the estate, runs on a secondary line with frequent service to and from Florence in about an hour. Service to Florence starts at 6 am, and the last train returns from Florence at 11 pm. After 8 pm, the service returning from Florence requires a change in Empoli.
For Kids: The castle of Staggia, within a 20 minute drive, takes reservations for a Sunday afternoon castle tour and visit with a falconer.
Golf: Circolo del Golf dell'Ugolino, south of Florence, is 45 minutes away and is open year round. Closed on Monday.
Festivals & Events: Settembre Gaiolese is a month long fair in Gaiole in Chianti featuring Chianti wines, local cheeses and prized cinta senese pork.
Open Air Markets: Morning markets are held in Castellina in Chianti and Greve in Chianti every Saturday morning, in Panzano on Sunday, in Poggibonsi and Strada in Chianti on Tuesday, in Siena on Wednesday and in Monteriggioni and San Gimignano on Thursday.
