Late October and November guests should expect harvesting of the nearby olive trees.

Pluses
A beautiful country landscape yet only 25 easy minutes from Florence! This classic Tuscan cottage has all the old world charm along with a few modern touches, such as air conditioning in the bedrooms and window screens.

Cottage Petra is part of a Chianti Classico wine and olive oil producing estate - guests may purchase products on-site.

Pool
Shared with the owner and her guests when in residence and is open from the last weekend in May to the first Friday in October. Pool towels are provided.

Road Condition
From the Florence/Siena toll-free highway, an easy 12 minute drive on main roads leads to the estate's 400 yard, unpaved and bumpy path through olive groves. The width passing between olive trees is too narrow for a minibus. Compact or mid size cars are recommended.

Screens
All bedrooms and the living room with a fireplace have screened windows.

TV
Satellite SKY package - including Italian and European channels, a few news channels such as British SKY News and some movie channels in English.

Views
From the pool area, guests enjoy views of olive groves, Tuscan pines and wooded hills. A landscaped path from the pool leads to a walking trail with incredible views of the Chianti hills infused with cypress trees, vineyards and a hill top village in the distance. From the cottage, the view is of fruit and pine trees and garden greenery.

Washing Machine
This property is equipped with a washing machine.
