Pluses
Exceptional quality, large private homes with swimming pools are rarely available on the rental market in this central part of the Italian Riviera. Brand new restoration of the home's interiors and the terraced garden.

One of the most central locations along the Italian Riviera with either the resort town of Santa Margherita or the quaint fishing village of Camogli reached in 10 minutes and Portofino's yacht filled harbor is within 15. Villa Baia Blu is just under a mile from the seaside town of Recco with a variety of cafes, restaurants, gelaterie and a main train sation with service to the Cinque Terre.

Pool
The private pool is open from the first Saturday in May to the first Friday in October. Pool towels are provided.

Road Condition
The five minute route from the highway exit, located one mile away, is along a paved road. The last few hundred yards are on a narrow road that is further narrowed by cars parked along one side. For this reason, minivans and minibuses are not recommended, and they are difficult to park in the surrounding towns.

TV
Satellite SKY package - The main living room TV has this package which includes Italian and European channels, a few news channels such as British SKY News and some movie channels in English. The apartment has basic service with a couple of news channels in English.

Views
Positioned along a hillside above the seaside town of Recco, the villa's main rooms and its outdoor garden areas look out over neighboring rooftops to the town's small harbor with a cove beach and the green Ligurian hills. The Portofino promontory is seen in the distance. The most scenic views are enjoyed from the garden and pool areas where it's possible to look toward the open sea. Five of the six bedrooms have a pleasant view over the harbor while the sixth opens to the garden.

Washing Machine
This property is equipped with two washing machines; one in the main villa's pantry and the second in the apartment's ground floor bathroom.

A series of marked hiking trails cross over the Portofino promontory and lead down to the tiny fishing hamlet of San Fruttuoso with an 8th century Benedictine abbey. This romantic cove is accessible only by boat or by a 3 hour hike. On way back, San Rocco has a couple of cocktail bars that are positioned for lovely sunsets.
