Included in the price is a continental breakfast buffet served daily from 7:30 - 10:00 am at the hotel that manages the apartment, located a short walk away.

A mid week refresh cleaning with towel change is included in the price - This service neatens the bedrooms and living areas, and it does not include cleaning the kitchen. Additional light housekeeping with a 2 hour minimum per visit may be arranged, if requested at the time of booking. Advance notice is required and this service is paid on-site in Euro.

There are 11 steps to reach the elevator. Keep in mind that a luggage porter for arrival and departure is included in the price!

Language Spoken
The Hotel managing the apartment is 250 yards away. The reception staff speaks English.

Internet Access
For those taking along a laptop or an Internet capable device (ie. tablets, smartphones, iPads, iPhones), DSL WiFi is provided. Multiple users within range of the stationery modem have Internet access.

Winter heating is included in the price.

Interior Décor
Top floor apartment in Rapallo's historic pedestrian area that has been recently restored with wood floors, noise insulated windows and a new kitchen. Large windows allow for plenty of natural sunlight.

Interior Amenities - All the rooms are air conditioned with usage included in the price. Each bathroom has a hairdryer.

Layout notes - One bedroom is a narrow room furnished with two queen beds that are separated by a small bookcase.

This property is located within a city or town. A car is not necessary.

The kitchen area has a good amount of storage and counter space. It is equipped with a stove top, oven, microwave, fridge and dishwasher.

From inside the apartment, there are no sea views. Guests must go up to the shared rooftop terrace for a view of the marina and the sea.

A neighboring church tower is 70 yards away and chimes once on the hour.

No Smoking
Smoking is not permitted inside the property.

Parking for one car is included in a town lot, 250 yards away. On Wednesday evening into Thursday afternoon, the lot is closed for the town's outdoor market. For this one night, guests need to purchase alternate parking in another lot.

Steps & Stairs
Walk 250 yards from the parking area to the building entrance. There are 11 steps up to access elevator. Guests may be dropped off within 100 yards of the building since it is located on a pedestrian only lane. Luggage porter service is included upon arrival and departure.

Phone charges are based on the number of message units used and are paid on-site in Euro.

Gabbiano is a top floor, bright and airy apartment that's been recently renovated. The price conveniently includes: Heat, Air Conditioning, Daily Continental Breakfast, Luggage Porter service, Parking for one car, WiFi and the assistance of an English speaking reception staff.

Fantastic location along the Italian Riviera in one of the main resort towns with a large variety of cafes, restaurants, gelaterie and specialty shops just outside the door - your morning cappuccino is around the corner!

Rapallo is well serviced by public transit with buses and a train station servicing the Cinque Terre within easy walking distance. From May through September, boat excursions to Portofino or the Cinque Terre depart from the pier, less than 100 yards away.

Road Condition
The pedestrian lane where Gabbiano is located is reached on foot from the town parking lot. The five minute route from the highway exit to the parking is a straight shot along a level and paved road leading to the port.

Satellite SKY package - including Italian and European channels, a few news channels such as British SKY News in English.

All windows overlook neighboring buildings and their rooftops. From the shared rooftop terrace, there is a 360 degree view looking out over the rooftops, a neighboring church tower and from one direction, Rapallo's marina and the sea.

What's nearby
Shopping and Dining: Rapallo is a seaside resort town and just a few feet outside the building's entrance are numerous café bars, restaurants, gelaterie, pastry shops, fruit and vegetable grocers, butchers, pharmacies and shops of all kinds. In addition to the small specialty grocers, there are 3 supermarkets within walking distance, one of which is open every day.

Not To Be Missed: During the summer months, boats depart from Camogli or Rapallo to the tiny fishing hamlet of San Fruttuoso with an 8th century Benedictine abbey. This romantic cove is accessible only by boat or by a 3 hour hike.

Take the funicular up to the 16th century Sanctuary of Montallegro for a spectacular view over the Gulf of Tigullio.

Public Transportation: Rapallo is well serviced year round by bus and train. The bus stop is 350 yards away on Corso Italia with service to Portofino, Santa Margherita and the other coastal towns. Rapallo's main line train station is 350 yards away with service to all major cities and to the Cinque Terre. By train, it is 70 minutes to Monterosso al Mare, the first village of the Cinque Terre. The last two trains return from Monterosso at 8 pm and 11 pm.

Boat Excursions: Tourist boats leave from the promenade from May through September. Daily ferries leave for Santa Margherita, Portofino and the abbey of San Fruttuoso. In May and June, an excursion leaves for Cinque Terre one day per week. From July through September, there are two departures per week.

Beach: About 200 yards away are small private, pay per use beach clubs along Rapallo's narrow pebbly shoreline. Guests are given a chair along the rocks or on a pier and have access to restrooms and a beach bar. The surrounding towns and villages all have similar beach clubs.

Golf & Tennis: Golf Club Rapallo, a 15 minute drive away, has an 18 hole course and outdoor tennis courts.

Hiking: Drive 15 minutes to the other side of the Portofino promontory to the hillside village of San Rocco, a tiny village with a couple of sea view restaurants and a church. From the parking area, there are marked hiking trails of varying degrees of lengthy and difficulty over the Portofino mountain. For the more advanced, drive an hour inland to the trails of Santo Stefano d'Aveto in the Ligurian Apennines. The trails are using for hiking in the summer months and skiing in the winter.

Open Air Markets: Morning markets are held on Monday in Recco, Wednesday in Camogli, Thursday in Rapallo and Friday in Santa Marghertia and Chiavari. Chiavari hosts the largest antique market in Liguria on the second weekend of each month - one of the best in Liguria with vendors from all over northern Italy, France and Germany. In Chiavari, the last weekend of each month is an enormous food market with hundreds of local producers from all over Italy.

Annual Festivals:
In May:
- Camogli: The second week is the Sagra del Pesce (Fish Fry Festival) with Saturday's "Blessing of the Fish" festivities including bonfires and an impressive display of fireworks. On Sunday, the largest frying pan in the world (12 feet in diameter) fries up huge helpings of fish.
- Recco: The last Sunday in May, is a focaccia feast to sample the town's local specialty.

In July:
- Rapallo: July 1 - 3 is the feast of the Madonna di Montallegro with outdoor markets and an evening fireworks display on July 3rd.

In August:
- Rapallo has several music concerts and festivals taking place on the promenade, like Liguria Jazz and the Festival of Blues.
- Camogli: The first Sunday is a religious feast with thousands of floating candles being placed in the sea during the procession of all the boats of Camogliesi fishermen. Filling the sea with lights is the villager's way of thanking the Virgin Mary, their protector of seafarers.
