Interior Décor
A very spacious and character-filled apartment in a historic building with high wood beamed ceilings, wooden parquet floors and large windows. Furnishings include a number of family heirlooms.

Interior Amenities: All rooms are air conditioned. Each bathroom has a portable hair dryer.

Layout Notes: The bedroom with two single beds is smaller. Its window along with the kitchen's open to the building's inner atrium and receive less sunlight. The small living room with the sofabed has a door. The sofabed is 5' 4'' in length.



Intown
This property is located within Rome's historic center. A car is not necessary.



Kitchen
The kitchen offers a microwave, in addition to an oven, and a dishwasher.



Limited Parking
Parking is not available at this property. Paid parking is available at a considerable distance away.



Minuses
No children under 12 allowed. Being in an active pedestrian area, the liveliness of this area is heard especially when the windows are open - the queen bedroom faces a pedestrian walkway leading into Piazza Navona.



No Smoking
This property is strictly for non-smokers.



Steps & Stairs
Walk 300 yards from the bus stop or guests may be dropped off at the entrance by taxi only. There are seven steps required to reach the elevator.



Phone
The apartment has a landline phone that accepts incoming calls. For outgoing calls, there is no international service - only Italian phone numbers can be called.

Location! Just steps from Rome's most visited square, Piazza Navona with an abundance of cafes, trattorie, boutiques and markets. Well serviced by public transit to reach all the main attractions of the Eternal City.

Road Condition
By foot or taxi. Only taxis are permitted to drop off guests at the entrance since it is a limited traffic zone. The closest bus stop is 300 yards away. The Termini train station is just under 2 miles away.



TV
Satellite SKY package - including Italian and European channels, a few news channels such as British SKY News and some movie channels in English.



Views
The living room and queen bedroom overlook a narrow lane and the neighboring buildings. From the small living room window, it is possible to get a peak of Neptune's fountain in Piazza Navona. The kitchen and bedroom with single beds have windows opening to the building's inner atrium.



Washer/Dryer
This property is equipped with a washing machine and dryer.



What's nearby
Shopping and Dining: Being in the heart of historic Rome, there are an abundance of restaurants, pizzerie, cafes and shopping. An osteria with outdoor seating is located on the same street and is open for lunch and dinner. There are three more dining establishments on the same street. A Despar supermarket is 250 yards away along Via dei Giustiniani that's open daily from 8:30 am to 10 pm.

Within Walking Distance: Within a 400 yard walk is the Pantheon or Campo dei Fiori with its daily market of fresh vegetables, fruits and flowers until 1 pm. A half mile walk leads to the Trevi fountain or Castel Sant'Angelo and within three quarters of a mile are the Spanish steps and the shops of Via dei Condotti.

Public Transportation: Termini station with service to Milan, Florence and Napoli is nearly two miles away. Within 300 yards, buses stop along two main roads bordering Piazza Navona with service to the major sights that are not within easy walking distance. A route along Corso Vittorio Emanuele II leads to Termini station and St. Peter's. Another route along Corso del Rinascimento makes stops in Piazza Venezia, the Colosseum and the Vatican Museums.

Not To Be Missed: Cruises along the Tiber River leave daily from the Sant'Angelo dock and pass by Tibertina Island. Visit the remains of Emperor Hadrian's grand estate at Tivoli, just east of Rome. This site is reached via a 30 minute Metro ride on Line B to the Rebibbia station and then a short bus ride from the station to Tivoli.

Beach: The beaches in Ostia are 20 minutes by car. Take the Rome-Lido train from the Piramide Line B underground station. Departs every 20 minutes up to 9 pm.

Open Air Markets: Every Sunday in Porta Portese is the city's largest and best known market. Campo dei Fiori has a daily morning market with vendors selling vegetables, fruit and flowers. Piazza Navona's Christmas market takes place from mid-December to January 6.
