Guest Comments
"This was a dream come true for us. We chose the house because of the photos we saw and it did not disappoint! The house was lovely and well maintained, but the outdoor spaces were even more delightful. We were vacationing with a group of friends and the property is laid out so that we all could do things together OR independently and rarely see each other. The breakfast was amazing ! Mary and Roberta are wonderful!! We hope to return!!" - J. Herring

"Casa Ulysses was wonderful and was like staying in a 5 star hotel. The owner was great and gave so much information and tips on what to do." - F. Romano

"This house is perfection. There is not one negative we could come up with. If we knew the meals were this good, we would have ordered more." - F. Alfano

Internet Access

Interior Décor
A modern villa that has been gutted and professionally reconstructed with meticulous care. Features modern fixtures, baths and kitchen. This is the classic Moorish architecture seen in this region with white walls, vaulted ceilings and colorful tile accents. The decor complements a seaside theme with rooms that are pleasantly uncluttered keeping the space light and airy.

Interior Amenities: All the rooms are air conditioned, and screens are on all doors and windows. Each bedroom has its own bathroom supplied with toilet tissue and furnished with built-in hair dryer, complimentary soaps and an oversized showerhead. Bath towels are changed daily. Since the floors are not internally connected, each Suite has a small efficiency kitchen.

Layout Notes: The three levels are not connected internally. There are two outdoor stairways on either side of the building to reach each level. On the middle level, Suites B and C are not connected internally. The bedroom in Suite B has a smaller window than the others.

The main kitchen on the lower level has commercial grade appliances: five burner gas stove, separate industrial convection/pizza oven, large fridge, ice maker, dishwasher, commercial espresso machine and stainless steel prep table. For outdoor cooking, the gas grill area has a sink and a prep table. Each of the Suites has an efficiency kitchen for convenience. Suite A has a full kitchen with stove top, oven and fridge. Suites B and C have smaller hideaway kitchens with a sink, two burners, minifridge and microwave. US style coffeemakers are in all the kitchens.

Lunch or dinner may be arranged, if requested at the time of booking. Advance notice is preferred and this service is paid on-site in Euro.

Guests considering this home must be very agile as numerous steps are unavoidable.

Casa Ulysses is comprised of three floors that are not connected internally. The floors are reached from outdoor stairways along either side of the building.

Directly above the house is a small church that plays recorded church bells at 7:30 am, noon and 6:30 pm. Double paned windows muffle the sound when closed.

Parking is in a community, metered lot located 150 yards away at the end of a pedestrian walkway.

Steps & Stairs
Walk 150 level yards along a pedestrian footpath from the parking to the gated entrance and 33 steps down to the upper level. The house is made up of three floors with about 30 steps between each floor. This home is not recommended for anyone with less than perfect mobility since these steps are unavoidable. Luggage porter service is included in the price on arrival and departure.

A portable cellular phone is made available at check-in. The phone is typically charged with 25 or 50 Euro worth of calling time. Guests only pay for the usage consumed. If you require additional minutes, please ask your keyholder for assistance.
