Inside Sales Associate

Position overview

An Associate provides full service to Parker customers that extends well beyond the processes of a travel agency with each Associate having direct responsibility for the customers' experience. When not assigned to the customer call queue, this role supports the product manager by working on various projects to update and improve the company's website among other tasks. While this position involves tasks of a very detailed nature, problem solving and strategic thinking are essential elements of this job.

Responsibilities for this position
  • Answer incoming calls and use engaging interpersonal skills to insure that customer needs and expectations are clearly defined. Deliver the best possible itineraries and Parker products that are tailored to each customer's individual needs by providing well thought out, relevant and creative suggestions.
  • Maintain and apply an in-depth knowledge of all the locations and products sold by Parker including each rental home, hotels, rental cars and day tours.
  • Follow the established processes for reserving all products including documenting every phone call/email in the company's database.
  • Give accurate responses in a timely manner to all customer inquiries and issues in need of resolution - take full ownership of every customer call.
  • Perform customer outreach, post-travel to retain customer confidence and build loyalty.
  • Support other departments with projects, including and not limited to: data entry and editing of web content, pricing evaluations, maintaining spreadsheet data and report generation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 2- 5 years of related experience working directly with customers
  • Very positive attitude and driven to achieve results with a sense of urgency - a good, old fashioned work ethic is a must.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Personality skills that allow for clear, concise communication and engaging phone calls to reach sales goals – a communicator who gets to the point quickly and eloquently, and one whose advice is heard and taken.
  • Achieve optimal sales results efficiently and maintain a high rate of customer satisfaction
  • The ability to achieve objectives and adapt quickly to changes in a small, fast paced company setting
  • Strong organization skills - the ability to prioritize and multi-task while working on projects and taking calls.
